6:00pm Gala at Wynola Pizza Express, featuring Mountain Tribal Gypsy, Roya Tribal Belly Dance, Sarah al Nour and Gypsy Blossoms.

Saturday, May 4th,
10:00am-12:00pm – “The Spinner’s Wheel”
.
Instructor: Marie Kaplan-This work will definitely get you moving with the fast and furious spins of ATS Belly Dance®. You will need to be familiar with ATS® Dance Fundamentals or Level One movements.
Dress: Loose, comfortable clothing or ATS® attire: choli top and circle skirt. The hair should be up and away from the face and neck. Zils (finger cymbals)
$25 per person (collected the day of class)

11:00am-1:00pm – “Wild and Wooly Felt Wall Hanging”.
Instructor: Arlene Watson-Wool and the supplies needed to felt will all be provided. Students are encouraged to bring yarn, hand spun and otherwise, silk fiber, dyed bits etc. to embellish your design, and there will also be some of those items available as well. Just bring a couple of towels, and the urge to felt!
$25 per person (collected the day of class)

1:00pm-3:00pm “Modern Patterns”
Instructor: Sarah al Nour-Like a beautiful tapestry, Tribal Fusion is more than the sum of its parts. Interwoven with ancient, fantastical and cutting-edge elements, Tribal Fusion honors the valuable contributions of its ancestors, while introducing its own idiosyncratic colors and textures. Resonating with the myriad aspects of our modern times, Tribal can incorporate Flamenco, hip- hop, modern, jazz, vintage, burlesque, ballet and more influences for an intriguingly familiar, yet exciting work of art.
Dress: Loose, comfortable clothing (yoga, hoop, and basic dance wear) encouraged. Bare feet or dance sandals preferred.
$25 per person (collected the day of class)

3:00pm till 4:00pm: Belly Dance perfomances by:  Roya Tribal Belly Dance, Tribal Komothea, Scimitar Dance Company, Gypsy Blossoms.

4:00pm-6:00pm – “Before the Drum Circle.
Instructor: Beryl Warnes -Learn some Gypsy Caravan and Black Sheep movements with Mountain Tribal Gypsy just in time to put them to use at the drum circle following the workshop. Also tips for dancing in a circle one of MTG’s favorite things to do. These are Level Two steps and movements.
Dress up: it’s part of the fun and the drum circle is right after. Zils are not required but they help with the rhythm.
Workshop $20.00 per dancer

Saturday Evening: Drum Circle and Open Dancing 6:00pm-9:00pm.


Sunday, May 5th,
10:00am-12:00pm – “Combing Through Combos”

Instructor: Marie Kaplan -Please join me in a few hours of dance in ATS® combos. We will explore Dance combos of ATS® Belly Dance as found in “Tribal Basic’s Volume 9 Anatomy of a Step. You should be familiar with Tribal Combinations or Level Two movements.
Dress: Loose, comfortable clothing or ATS® attire: choli top and circle skirt. The hair should be up and away from the face and neck.

1:00pm-2:00pm “So you think you don’t want to Belly dance”
An introduction to the basic movements of Tribal style belly dance. A great way to improve posture and relieve stress. This free workshop is for those who would like to understand more about this ancient form of dance. Women dancing for and with each other for health and joy.
Beryl Warnes instructor for 10 yrs. urges you to come as you are no experience necessary. Fun Fun Fun!!!

2:00pm till 4:00pm: Belly Dance perfomances by: Mountain Tribal Gypsy, Roya Tribal Belly Dance. RAFFLE* drawing sometime between 2 and 4pm.

Saturday and Sunday all day during festival hours, there will be a place to sit and spin, weave, knit, crochet and spend your day with others who share your passion for fiber, so bring your projects to do and share. If you want to learn there will be fiberholics there to help you discover.
